A Message from your Social Committee...
Just a few things to mention!! First of all, bowling was a great night!! Thanks to all who could make it out! For those who were unable to make it due to the awful weather... do not worry, we will plan another event soon! Also, big shout out to Pat.. WOOOOOOOOOOO.. thanks for the slideshow!! It was awesome and gave us many laughs! One other thank you to the counsellors for the Valentine's Day treats on Thursday! Everything was delicious, so thank you very much! And thanks to Candace for the authentic Mardi Gras beads!!!
We hope to plan another event within the next couple of weeks before March Break. There has been some suggestions of going to the Ian Beddis Gym in Walker Complex and playing some volleyball or dodgeball for a couple of hours, and possibly hang out somewhere afterwards. Again, if anyone has any suggestions, please let us know!! Any suggestions are welcome!!
Have a great Family Day weekend!!
Your Social Committee,
Kim, Sheila, Meghan, & Kari

Faculty of Ed Sweaters!
Hi Everyone,
I have great news for those interested in Faculty of Education Sweaters!
Group #6 has kindly agreed to allow anyone from our counselling group to purchase hooded sweaters for $40.00 with them. The liaison committee is not offering any clothing, so this is our only chance!
2 Options
1) White hooded sweater with black writing: 'Brock' (in a rainbow shape) with 'Education' underneath, written on the front of the sweater in varsity style letters.
2) Black hooded sweater with 'Brock' (in a rainbow shape) written in black with pink stitching. Education is written underneath in pink letters.
- all sizes available
- $40.00 each
- it hasn't been confirmed, but we may be able to get 'Lucky # 7s' on the hood if it doesn't cost anything extra.
- I would ask that if you can, bring in the money this Thursday or no later then next Tuesday so I can give it to Kristen at the meeting and get that detail out of the way!
Unfortunately I have to know by Thursday in counselling group so I can send an email with your name, colour choice and size to Kristen because that is the deadline for her to place the order. Sorry for the last minute planning, since I know we just all payed for the formal, but it is our last chance :(
If you decided to purchase one, please remember that this is a favor for our group so I have no control over the quality of the sweater or the time it is going to take. I am trusting that it will work out and be a nice reminder of your time here.
Think about it and get back to me! Hope you like the options!
Thanks,
Angela :)

My B-day Celebration
HEY HEY ALL!!!Not sure who all lives around the Markham area (can't remember), but if you do and you want something to do on Friday Feb 15th, you are most certainly invited to Jake's on Main St. Unionville to celebrate my b-day with. It'll just be a fun night out.
And just as an addition, but nothing has been decided, I have been debating about going to Boston Pizza on Wed just for a few drinks to celebrate with everyone here. I do realise that this would be the day after our group social, but if it does happen, it will be something super casual and chillax (in the bar portion of it for some drinks). I will post again tomorrow if I have made a decision to do it.

In case you didn't know.
You can have your evaluations from block I emailed to you so you do not have to worry about scanning or anything else. The added benefit is that you can also print it off whenever you like as well.

Lions Quest Workshop
This workshop was definitely worth going to. It provided the attending with tons of practical information to take into the classroom. It's basis is taking the classroom back to the idea of a community and ensuring the growth of the overall student and not just their brain/intelligence. Although the c
ost of 75$ did seem steap at first, you get more than you think. All meals are provided and you get a kit to take away with you. For us student teachers, you get a vochure for the kit for when you do become teachers that way you get the grade in which you are teaching. Rosemary Hunter, the presenter for the portfolio workshop we had in counselling group led this seminar as well. She was very encouraging and enthusiastic about the course which made it that much more worthwhile. I do suggest that those of you who have not taken this course take it the next time it is offered. There was discussion about a possible workshop just after our second block is over.

Formal in April
Just to remind everyone.
Tickets for Formal are 40 dollars each until THIS Thursday. To avoid that extra 5 dollars you should bring your money into either Angela, Angie, or Scott.
I did not receive any info that I could attach for anyone at this moment. But the Formal is Friday, April 4th, starting around 6:30 I believe. I will post more as I find these things out. Have a great week.

Social Event
Hey everyone! So as mentioned in counselling group yesterday, we would like to plan another social event. We realize everyone is busy with school and other commitments, but group event is long overdue. The tentative date proposed is Tuesday, February 12. Bowling is the option that has been tossed around. If anyone has any other suggestions, please do not hesitate to let us know, and we can make the necessary arrangements. I believe Tuesday's are cheap bowling nights at Parkway Lanes on Ontario Street, if we decide to go bowling. So post your comments and suggestions as soon as possible, so we can start organizing this event for the best counselling group ever!

Sheila, Kari, Kim & Meghan
